Chrome at work, Edge for the bank, Firefox for that one site?
Each one keeps its own bookmarks, so the link you need is always in the other browser. Tassel makes them one set. Add a bookmark, rename a folder or tidy the bar in any of them and the others follow.
This is the app. Click around.
The real Tassel window, running in your browser with sample bookmarks.
Built to never lose a bookmark.
-
A backup before every change
Each browser's bookmarks are saved as an HTML file before Tassel writes anything. Any browser imports it.
-
Nothing vanishes in a hurry
If many bookmarks disappear at once, a fresh profile or a slip, nothing is deleted anywhere until you choose.
-
New browsers add, never erase
A browser that joins brings what it has into the set. Nothing is removed from it or from the others.
No account. No cloud.
A small free extension in each browser talks to the Tassel app on 127.0.0.1, an address that never leaves your computer. Each browser's own sync then carries the change to your phone and other computers.
Two browsers free. Every browser for less than a coffee.

Questions
How much does Tassel cost?
Tassel is free for two browsers. Tassel Unlimited syncs every browser and profile on your computer for a one-time US$ 0.99, paid in your browser through Stripe and valid on all your computers. No subscription, no ads, no telemetry.
Do I need an account? Do my bookmarks go to a server?
No account and no cloud. Tassel runs on your computer and talks to a small free extension in each browser through 127.0.0.1, an address that never leaves the machine. Each browser's own sync (Google, Microsoft, Firefox account, iCloud) then carries the change to your other devices.
Which browsers work?
Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox, on Windows and on Mac. On a Mac, Safari joins too, and its bookmarks go to your other Apple devices through iCloud. Separate profiles count as separate browsers.
What exactly is kept the same?
The bookmarks bar and Other bookmarks, with folders inside folders, duplicates and the order you chose. Mobile bookmarks stay where they are.
What if I delete a lot of bookmarks by mistake?
If half or more of a browser's bookmarks disappear at once, nothing is deleted anywhere. Tassel asks: put them back in that browser, or delete them everywhere. And before every change it saves a backup of each browser as an HTML file that any browser can import.
Does Tassel have to stay open?
Yes, it syncs while it runs. It lives in the tray on Windows and the menu bar on Mac, starts with the system by default, and you can turn that off.
How do I install it on a Mac?
Download the DMG, drag Tassel to Applications and open it. It is signed with Apple's Developer ID for Design Master Solutions LLC and notarized by Apple. macOS 12 or later. A setup list asks for the permissions Safari needs and turns green by itself.
And on Windows?
Tassel for Windows 10 (1809 or later) and Windows 11 comes from the Microsoft Store, which installs and updates it for you. The Store listing is not live yet.
